This post is a second part of post Top 15 less known features of Xiaomi’s MIUI. If you have not read this post then you should read it now to know the top 5 features discussed.
So let’s start the some more features of the MIUI.
6) Double tap on circle of Lock screen to Play Pause music
This is one of the nice features of MIUI which enables you to manage the music player without unlocking the screen.
When you tap 2 times on the circle of lock screen then it enables you to play/pause and previous/next the music without unlocking the screen.
7) Hold the circle on lock screen to start specific phone operation
You can directly go to the specific operation of your Smartphone( e.g. Camera, Dial call, Message) directly from the lock screen just by holding the circle on the locked screen and then to drag it to the desired operation.
8) Private Message with Password
This is also one of the vital features of MIUI which enables you to do private messaging. With this you can add a private contact and after that all messages from this contact will be hidden and also you can set the password for the same.
To add the contact as private contact you need to slide down the message screen at fast speed for 3 times which will open the “Private messaging screen” where you can add the contacts as private and also you can set the password and notification settings.
9) Change call answer gesture direction
With this feature you can change the direction of swiping to answer the incoming call. By default, to receive the incoming call you need to swipe horizontally but if you want it as vertically then you can change it gesture direction.
To enable it, below are the steps.
- Go to the Contacts
- Then, tap on the menu button (which looks like 3 horizontal lines)
- Then, tap on “Settings” > “Call settings” > “Answer gesture”
- And select “Vertical Swipe”
10) Know location of the received call
MIUI has this nice feature by which you will able to see the location of the incoming numbers just near to contact in recent call list or missed call list. To show the location below are the steps.
To enable it, below are the steps.
- Go to the Contacts
- Then, tap on the menu button (which looks like 3 horizontal lines)
- Then, tap on “Settings” > “Location”
- And enable “Show location”
