Hello friend, you know StackOverflow, a code related community site on StackExchange which has several questions and answers for different languages and technology such as JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL and list goes on.
StackExchange has introduced a new feature called "Stack Snippets" on all their code related community sites which will help to post question or answer in more efficient way i.e. by adding live runnable code snippet.
As of now, to embed a live code peoples are using third party sites such as jsFiddle, .NETfiddle etc. and these sites provides lots of feature to share a live code. But some of the problems which had discussed on StackExchange before that sometimes when link to such third party gets expired then it makes a answer worthless and also it was going difficult for them to maintain revision history as code is on thrid party site. So to overcome these problems this new feature has been introduced.
Though "Stack snippets" provides facility to embed live code in post still use of jsFiddle or similar site is not restricted as it’s a new and also as limited feature as compared to jsFiddle and similar sites.
To embed a stack snippet you ned to click on the highlighted new icon on top of the editor like below.
It opens a new popup similar to jsFiddle in which you can write a code for HTML, CSS and JavaScript like below.
To know in detail how you can embed a code snippet you can visit this step by step guide provided here at StackExchange Blog.
Hope this simple informative post have benefited you. Feel the joy of sharing by sharing this information with your friends. Thanks.
