Nowadays, most of the companies specially IT Companies provides 2 monitors attached to single CPU to their employees to make work(overloaded) more managable by keeping more application windows opened at a time in comparison kind of scenario.
While working we need to move these applications from one monitor screen to another monitor screen for which most of the time we just do drag and drop and moves it from one monitor to another with the use of mouse.
These applications maintain their state i.e. if we had opened "Outlook" in 2nd monitor next time too it gets opened in 2nd monitor only.
But what you want to move the application from one screen(which is SWITCHED OFF") to another (Main Monitor , whic is "ON").
Most peoples achivie it by using keyboard shortcut of moving i.e. Alt+M then move using arrow keys but it only work when appplication is not maximized.
But do not worry, Microsoft has already taken care of this situation by providing a shortcut.
To get it work just open that application from main computer and press above shortcut (focus needs to be on that application).
BONUS TIP :
If you want to change your main display monitor, you can follow below steps :
- Go to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization" (you can just copy paste this in windows explorer and press enter)
- Click on "Display" (Bottom corner left side)
- Click on "Change Display Settings" (Refer Above Image)
- Select monitor in "Display" Dropdown which you want to make as main display.
- Tick "Make this my main display" checkbox (below "multiple display" dropdown).
- Apply and OK.
